Tanzanian Raiders Steal Cattle

NAROK, Kenya (AP) _ Tanzanian gunmen raided a town in neighboring Kenya near a wildlife sanctuary and drove about 200 heads of cattle across the border, police said Friday.
Five town residents were seriously injured in the Monday raid by 11 Tanzanians armed with rifles at Olpusimoru near the Masai Mara Game Reserve, about 100 miles southwest of the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, said Francis Gichina, the local police commander.
``Security in the Mara and outlying areas has deteriorated but we believe the bandits will be arrested,'' Gichina said.
On Dec. 10, a pair of hooded men, one with a rifle and the other a sword, robbed two groups of tourists on their way to the Masai Mara, police said.
