Southwest Announces New $99 Sale, Extends Two Others

DALLAS (AP) _ Southwest Airlines Co. announced three fare moves on Tuesday, starting new $99 fares from five cities, as well as extending its $39 advance intra- California fare and a half-off sale in four other cities.
The Dallas-based carrier announced a $99 or less one-way fare sale for travel to some markets from Houston, New Orleans, St. Louis, San Antonio and Austin, Texas.
The special fares can be bought through Nov. 22. Reservations must be made and the non-refundable tickets purchased one day in advance of travel.
For all three sales, seats are limited and travel must be completed by March 2.
In California, Southwest extended through the end of the year the deadline to buy 21-day advance purchase tickets for one-way travel in California. The deadline had been Nov. 10 for the sale, which started Oct. 22. Seats are limited.
In addition, Southwest extended its sale of at least 50 percent off travel to most cities from Baltimore, Cleveland, Louisville and Salt Lake City. The sale on one-day advance purchase fares was lengthened a week, through Nov. 22.
