UNDATED (AP) — Stocks struggled to a mostly higher finish on Wall Street today as gains for energy, phone and industrial companies made up for losses elsewhere. The Standard & Poor's 500 rose over 1 point to 2,502. The Dow fell more than 9 points, to 22,349. And the Nasdaq rose 4 points, to 6,426. Small-company stocks did better than the rest of the market. The Russell 2000 rose just over 6 points to 1,450, a record.

UNDATED (AP) — Energy stocks are up after oil prices finished higher today. Benchmark U.S. crude rose 11 cents, or 0.2 percent, to settle at $50.66 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. At the same time across the pond, Brent crude, used to price international oils, rose 43 cents, or 0.8 percent, to close at $56.86 a barrel in London.

NEW YORK (AP) — Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg says the company is withdrawing plans to create a new class of stock that would have let the him keep tight reins on the company even as he sold down his stake to fund his philanthropy. A shareholder class-action trial over the stock reclassification was to start next week. A lawyer representing Facebook says the trial has been canceled. Zuckerberg and his wife have committed to donating 99 percent of their wealth in their lifetimes.

NEW YORK (AP) — Amazon wants to deliver more burritos and hamburgers to your doorstep. The e-commerce giant says it's partnering with online ordering platform Olo, in a deal that could boost the number of restaurant chains on its Amazon Restaurants delivery service. The move is the latest by Seattle-based Amazon.com Inc. to try and shake-up how people buy food. This summer it bought grocer Whole Foods for $13.7 billion.

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — A federal judge is granting preliminary approval of a lawsuit settlement requiring Mercedes-Benz to replace seat heaters in up to 270,000 SUVs. Southern California-based Judge James Selna preliminarily approved the potentially $80 million settlement on Monday. The plaintiffs argue that seat heaters in some Mercedes-Benz SUVs made between 2000 and 2007 have been known to spark or smoke.
