MIAMI (AP) _ A Dutch tourist who apparently got lost was fatally shot this morning during an attempted robbery in a low-income neighborhood northwest of downtown.
The 42-year-old woman, whose identity was not immediately released by police, was transported by ambulance to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she died, hospital spokeswoman Ann Lynn Denker said.
Metro-Dade police spokeswoman Joanie Clarke said the tourist had been shot during an attempted robbery at a gas station in Liberty City, a high-crime area.
