Phoenix Suns Activate Gugliotta

PHOENIX (AP) _ The Phoenix Suns activated forward Tom Gugliotta on Friday and placed Chris Dudley on the injured list.
Gugliotta's return comes eight months to the day after he underwent major reconstructive surgery on his left knee.
``It's exciting to finally get on the court,'' he said. ``It will probably be limited action, and I hopefully can do some positive things and try to get some momentum for our team.
``This is a starting point and we can build from here. Hopefully over the next few weeks, I'll increase time and be a big part of this team.''
Gugliotta ruptured both the anterior cruciate ligament and the medial collateral ligament, as well partially rupturing his posterior crucial ligament and damaging the meniscal attachment to his left knee.
The injury occurred late in a game against Utah on March 10 and he had surgery one week later. At the time, he was averaging 16.4 points and 7.8 rebounds over a 12-game stretch when the Suns were 10-2.
The injury ended what had already been a difficult season. He had a life-threatening seizure on the team bus in Portland on Dec. 17, an episode he later blamed on a health food supplement that the Food and Drug Administration says is dangerous.
Dudley, who had started at center in all eight games for Phoenix, sprained his left ankle early in Wednesday night's victory over Dallas and is expected to be out two to three weeks.
