NEW YORK (AP) _ Kathleen Carroll Reasoner, a lawyer and the former wife of CBS News correspondent Harry Reasoner, has died at her Westport, Conn., home. She was 60.

Mrs. Reasoner died Thursday after a battle with cancer.

She graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn., in 1952 and was a member of the Minnesota bar. However, she gave up her practice to devote her time to her family.

She also was involved in civic affairs, becoming the chairwoman of the board of trustees of the Southbury Training School, a state institution for the mentally retarded in Connecticut.

Mrs. Reasoner is survived by two sons, five daughters, two sisters and two grandchildren.
