Dec. 21, 2004
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ UCLA starting point guard Nikki Blue missed the No. 20 Bruins' game Tuesday night against No. 10 Ohio State because of a head injury sustained in the previous game.
Team doctors said Blue showed ``concussion-like symptoms'' after being hit on the head during UCLA's 78-63 loss at Illinois on Sunday.
Blue, a 5-foot-8 junior, was averaging 9.9 points, 4.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds a game for the Bruins (6-1). She was replaced in the starting lineup by Ortal Oren.
