SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) _ Janice Gibson of Tulsa, Okla., Betsy Barrett of Syracuse, N.Y., Kris Hanson of Granite Falls, Minn., and Michelle Bell of Melrose, Mass., each carded an even-par 72 Friday to share the first-round lead in the Futures Golf Tour's $l5,000 Albany-Colonie Chamber Open.

Julie Kintz of Atlantis, Fla., was a stroke back at 73. Bunched at 74 were Becky Larson of Watertown, S.D., Liza Abood of Bethesda, Md., Barb Mucha of Parma Heights, Ohio, and amateur Dottie Pepper of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The 54-hole event, which offers a top prize of $2,250, concludes Sunday.
