UMAG, Croatia (AP) _ Sweden's Magnus Norman beat American Jeff Tarango 6-2, 6-4 on Sunday to win the Croatian Open.

``It's been an amazing two weeks,'' said Norman, who won the Mercedes Cup last week in Stuttgart, Germany.

Norman, 23, ranked 30th in the world, is the first ATP Tour player to win three titles this year. He has five career titles.

Norman, who looked to be in better shape than his 30-year-old opponent, set a strong pace in the first set and seized it with breaks against Tarango's serve at 1-1 and 4-2.

Tarango, playing his first final ever on clay, briefly rallied in the second set with some brilliant winners. However, Norman regained control with a break at 4-4 and served out the match.

The match was Tarango's first ATP Tour final since 1994 in Bordeaux, France.
