LOS ANGELES (AP) _ ``The Sopranos'' will try to stop the three-year winning streak of ``The West Wing'' on Sunday night at the Emmy Awards.

``The West Wing'' has never lost in the best drama category; ``The Sopranos'' has never won. ``Six Feet Under,'' which leads with 16 nominations, is also up for best drama. Other competitors for the top drama award are ``CSI'' and ``24.''

Among comedies, ``Everybody Loves Raymond'' and ``Sex and the City'' each have a leading 13 nominations. ``Raymond'' has never won best comedy. It's up against last year's winner, ``Friends,'' previous winners ``Sex and the City'' and ``Will and Grace,'' and HBO's ``Curb Your Enthusiasm.''

The Emmy Awards will be carried by Armed Forces Radio & Television to more than 800 military bases worldwide.

TV academy Chairman Bryce Zabel, in making the announcement this week, said he hoped the show ``will bring a little bit of home'' to servicemen and women.

This year, troops will see both the 55th annual prime-time Emmy Awards, to be held Sunday, and the creative arts Emmys, which were held last weekend to honor technical achievements.
