NEWARK, N.J. (AP) _ An airliner flying from Poland was diverted to New Jersey because of a bomb threat Thursday, federal authorities said.
LOT Polish Airlines Flight 11 landed safely at Newark International Airport and was taken to a remote area to be searched, said Arlene Salac, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration.
She said an ``unspecified bomb threat'' was received, but did not immediately know it was delivered or who received it.
The flight, from Warsaw, had been scheduled to land at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. Salac didn't know how many people were aboard the Boeing 767.
