Dental receptionist who stole 653 patients' ID gets prison

NEW YORK (AP) — A dental receptionist is behind bars after stealing 653 patients' personal information for a theft ring that made $700,000 in purchases.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. says Annie Vuong got a 2-to-6-year sentence on Monday.
Vuong stole patients' names, addresses, dates of birth and Social Security numbers between May and November 2012.
Her three accomplices used fraudulently obtained credit to buy Apple gift cards. Those were later used to purchase tablet and laptop computers.
