LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) _ Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil and Trisha Stafford each scored six points in the fourth quarter as the Long Beach StingRays defeated San Jose 99-91 in the ABL Saturday night, ending the Lasers' nine-game winning streak.

Yolanda Griffith led Long Beach (16-10) with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Venus Lacy added 17 points as the StingRays extended their season-best winning streak to four games.

Jennifer Azzi scored 16 of her 30 points in the second quarter for San Jose (15-14), while reserve Clarisse Machanguana added 22 in front of 1,935 fans at the Pyramid.

The Lasers trailed 77-69 entering the fourth quarter, but Machanguana's layup and four free throws pulled San Jose within two with 6:39 left. A jumper by Azzi tied the game 79-79.

The StingRays took the lead for good midway through the quarter with an 8-2 run.

The Lasers pulled within two on Azzi's jumper with 55.2 seconds left, but Long Beach got a basket by Davis-Wrightsil and a layup and two free throws by Stafford to preserve the win.
