Tattoo shop hosting tattoos for cancer fundraiser event
Jun. 08, 2018
NEW YORK (AP) — A New York City tattoo shop says will donate all proceeds made off a selection of tattoos to Alex's Lemonade Stand for a special event.
The Fleur Noire Tattoo Parlour in Brooklyn will be donating the proceeds in Friday's "Soley Keeps Shining" event, applying to walk-in customers. The New York Post reports the event was planned by co-owner Laura Martinez and will be held at a private studio.
Martinez says the daughter of a friend, whose name was Soley, died from cancer in 2014. Martinez says she wants the event to increase funding for research and the shop is proud to collaborate with Alex's Lemonade Stand.
Martinez says tattoo prices will go from $150 to $400 depending on design, and for arms & legs only.
