America Online Inc., down $9.01 at $43.60, Time Warner, down $12.24 at $65.56
AOL's shares fell to a 52-week-low on concerns that the online service provider's growth is slowing. The concerns also pulled down Time Warner, which plans to merge with AOL.
Teradyne, down $9.44 to $25.00
The semiconductor testing equipment maker expressed concerns that soft shipments could hurt its fourth-quarter results.
Procter & Gamble, up $1.38 at $73.31
The consumer brands company said it had sold its Clearasil brand to Boots Healthcare International for $340 million. The sale is part of P&G's efforts to focus on its core business.
Amazon, down $2.38 to $21.94
The e-tailer's stock hit a 52-week low on concerns that earnings would show poor growth.
Broadvision, up $2.25 to $26.06
The Internet commerce software provider's shares rose on news it will be included in the Standard and Poor's 500 index starting Monday.
Yahoo!, down $6.31 at $48.94
The Web portal, which fell to its lowest level in 52 weeks, tumbled on concerns that its growth prospects are limited, and earnings will be disappointing.
