3 hurt, including pedestrian, in Manhattan car crash

NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say three people were hurt when an SUV jumped a curb and struck a pedestrian on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
It happened at East 64th Street and Madison Avenue just before 5 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the SUV was traveling northbound when it jumped the curb and struck a 41-year-old woman. She was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Police say the driver was hospitalized with unknown injuries. A passenger in the SUV suffered minor injuries.
It wasn't clear what caused the accident.
