POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) _ Danny Basile scored 24 points, 15 of them 3-pointers, as Marist defeated St. Francis, Pa. Saturday 82-72.

The Red Foxes (5-6) tallied a record 14 3-pointers.

Marist opened the second half outscoring the Red Flash 24-9 during the first eight minutes. The run, which included eight points from Basile, gave Marist a 61-39 lead with 11:30 to go. Marist opened its largest lead of the night four minutes later when Basile drilled a 23-foot jump shot to give the Red Foxes a 26 point advantage.

The Red Foxes led by 20 or more points until the last minute of the game when the Red Flash (5-9) scored 10 points to close the final margin.
