ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) _ Nepal's new ambassador died Tuesday after presenting his credentials to the government of Pakistan, the state-run news agency said.
Chura Bahadur Hamal, 56, died of apparent heart failure about an hour after his first official meeting with Pakistani President Ghulam Ishaq Khan, said Associated Press of Pakistan.
''Words fail to express the deep sense of shock and grief which I experienced on receiving the tragic news of his death,'' Ishaq Khan said in a statement.
''During our brief exchange of views, I found him a seasoned diplomat of mature understanding and great vision and wisdom who gave the impression that he had come determined to work for the consolidation and promotion of friendship and collaboration between our two countries,'' the statement said.
