BOSTON (AP) — Boston officials will host a series of events this week to celebrate and raise awareness about community policing efforts throughout the city.
On Monday and Tuesday, participants will promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood engagement during the 34th annual "National Night Out."
Among the participants will be Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, Police Commissioner William Evans and Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley.
Over the two nights, 12 neighborhood events will be held, featuring entertainment, food, beverages and award presentations for Crimewatch Group of the Year and Crimefighter of the Year.
