ATLANTA (AP) _ Chicago Cubs outfielder Tom Goodwin injured his left hamstring while running out a double in the third inning Tuesday night against the Atlanta Braves and left the game.

The injury was diagnosed as a strained left hamstring, and the Cubs said Goodwin was day to day. He grabbed his hamstring when he was about two steps from second base. He limped off the field and was replaced by Trenidad Hubbard.

Goodwin went 5-for-6 in Monday night's 15-6 win over Atlanta, matching his career high for hits in a game.
