WESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Westfield police are investigating after a body was found in an overturned car in a farmer's field.

The farmer reported the car in the field at about 7 a.m. Wednesday, but police say it's unclear how long the vehicle had been there.

The person who reported the crash was not aware anyone was inside the car and the body wasn't discovered until police went to investigate.

The victim's name has not been made public.

Police say it appears as if the car went off the road near an intersection and ended up about 450 feet into the field.
