LOS ANGELES (AP) _Rodney Anderson, a guard on the Cal State Fullerton basketball team, was critically wounded in a shooting, a school spokesman said Friday.

The 18-year-old freshman suffered multiple wounds and was hospitalized at Martin Luther King Jr.-Drew Medical Center in south Los Angeles County, said Mel Franks, sports information director at Fullerton.

Franks did not know when or where the shooting occurred. Anderson lives in Los Angeles. There was no immediate word on Anderson's condition from hospital officials.
