PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Police in New Hampshire have arrested a man in connection with the armed robbery of a Salvation Army store in December.
Police in Portsmouth say two workers were closing the thrift store the night of Dec. 18 when they were approached by a man with a gun wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and ski mask. He took a money bag and fled. The employees returned to the store and called police.
Police said they arrested 58-year-old George Laurie, of Portsmouth, on Tuesday on a warrant charging him with robbery. He was being held without bail. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer and a phone number couldn't be found for him.
