SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) _ A big rig rear-ended a school bus filled with children leaving. At least 15 people were injured and several were trapped in the bus, authorities said.

The accident took place about 11:53 p.m. Wednesday on the eastbound Interstate 10 freeway just west of Yucaipa.

The school bus, which appeared to be traveling from Mexico, was filled with children that ranged in age from 7 to mid-teens, said Kim Lightfeldt, a spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol.
