Italian Wins Luge Singles

ALTENBERG, Germany (AP) _ Armin Zoeggeler of Italy won a luge race for the third time this season on Sunday and increased his lead in the World Cup standings.
Three-time Olympic champion Georg Hackl of Germany was second and Markus Prock of Austria was third.
Zoeggeler was timed in 1 minute, 49.685 seconds. He set a course record of 54.725 seconds in the first heat and had the fastest time in the second run at 54.960.
By adding 100 points for his victory, Zoeggeler raised his season total to 430 after five races, with three left in the season.
Hackl, who finished in 1:50.168, has 361 points. Prock completed the two runs in 1:50.198.
