AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) _ Quarterback Kurt Warner's 5-yard touchdown run with one minute left gave the Amerstam Admirals a 21-17 win Saturday over Rhein Fire in NFL Europe.
The Duesseldorf franchise (7-2) has already clinched a World Bowl berth and Amsterdam (6-3) can be there too if it downs Scotland next week and the Frankfurt Galaxy lose one of their last two games.
Amsterdam jumped to a 14-0 lead on a 13-yard TD pass from Warner to Jim Douglass that gave it a 7-0 halftime lead. Malcolm Thomas scored on an 11-yard run in the third quarter..
But Fire receiver Marcus Robinson crossed right to left to catch an 8-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Mike Quinn, pulling the game back to 14-7 with 2:17 left in the third quarter.
Then the Fire really geared up as Danny Kight kicked a 38-yard field goal and Larry Ryans caught a 26-yard TD pass from Quinn to make it 17-14 with 7:14 left in the game.
