CINCINNATI (AP) _ Ryan Huzjak passed for 284 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a third score to lead Toledo to a 45-31 victory over Cincinnati on Saturday night.
With the game tied 31-31, Jamal Belt intercepted a pass by Eric Vibberts to set up an 11-yard run by Wasean Tait that put Toledo (4-0) ahead 38-31 with 8:55 left.
Huzjak ran 30 yards for the touchdown that put the game out of reach with 2:40 remaining.
Cincinnati (1-4) scored twice in the last two minutes of the second quarter to recover from a 24-3 deficit and end the half trailing 24-17.
The Bearcats tied the score on a 60-yard pass from Vibberts to Robert Tate with three minutes left in the third quarter.
But a minute later, Marcus Matthews intercepted Vibberts and ran 63 yards to put Toledo ahead 31-24.
Early in the fourth quarter, James Scott caught a 20-yard pass from Vibberts to tie the game again.
Vibberts was 19-of-38 for 302 yards, but was intercepted five times.
