Sumo Logic Named to Forbes 2018 Cloud 100 List for Third Consecutive Year
Sep. 13, 2018
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sumo Logic, the leading cloud-native, machine data analytics platform that delivers continuous intelligence, today announced it has been named to the third annual Forbes 2018 Cloud 100 list, for the third year in a row. In collaboration with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures, the Forbes Cloud 100 is a definitive list of the top 100 private companies in the world that showcase the best and brightest cloud leaders.
“Machine data, delivered and consumed as a service, is a critical component for every business working to deliver the best customer experiences and maintain a competitive advantage in our digital world,” said Ramin Sayar, president and CEO, Sumo Logic. “To be named to this list for the third consecutive year is a true indication Sumo Logic has become the data stewards of modern business. The Sumo Logic platform is purpose-built for the cloud era, and we remain committed to delivering continuous intelligence for our customers, regardless of where their modern applications and infrastructure data lives.”
As part of the rigorous selection process for the Forbes 2018 Cloud 100, Bessemer Venture Partners received submissions from the top cloud startups. The Forbes Cloud 100 judging panel, including top public cloud company CEOs, reviewed the data to select, score and rank the top 100 cloud companies from all over the world. The evaluation process involved four factors: market leadership (35 percent), estimated valuation (30 percent), operating metrics (20 percent) and people and culture (15 percent).
This recognition comes on the heels of Sumo Logic’s recent announcement of its third annual “ State of Modern Applications and DevSecOps in the Cloud ” report, which provides exclusive data-driven insights, best practices and emerging trends within the modern application stack from the company’s more than 1,600 customers and 50,000 users. Released in conjunction with Illuminate, Sumo Logic’s annual user conference, the report details year-over-year usage growth in mission-critical modern applications, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambda, Docker and Kubernetes running on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Sumo Logic announced a number of innovations and enhancements this week from Illuminate, including a new cloud SIEM solution, the industry’s first Global Intelligence Service, derived from Sumo Logic’s multi-tenant service, to extend machine learning and insights to new teams and use cases across the enterprise.
Sumo Logic is the industry’s first machine data analytics platform to natively ingest, index and analyze structured and unstructured data together in real-time. As one of the most powerful cloud services in the world, every day on average the Sumo Logic platform analyzes more than 100 petabytes of data, executes over 30 million searches and queries more than 500 trillion records, delivering tens of millions of insights to customers who rely on continuous intelligence across the entire application lifecycle to more effectively build, run and secure their modern applications.
