DAVIE, Fla. (AP) _ Miami Dolphins tackle Damion McIntosh was arrested Wednesday on a charge of domestic violence against his wife at their home, police said.

Precious McIntosh was treated at a hospital and released. Her husband was booked into the Broward County Jail.

The 6-foot-4, 320-pound McIntosh started all 16 games for the Dolphins at left tackle last season.

``We understand the serious nature of the charges and certainly don't condone in any way the type of conduct which has been alleged,'' coach Nick Saban said in a statement. ``However, we will not make a comment about this specific matter until we collect more information.''

McIntosh is a six-year NFL veteran. He and his wife were married during the 2004 season.
