ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) _ Jerry Gray, the defensive backs coach for the Tennessee Titans, has been hired as the new defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo also hired Ronnie Vinklarek from the Titans as the offensive line coach, Danny Smith as special teams coach and Miles Aldridge as linebackers coach.

The 38-year-old Gray, who played nine years in the NFL as a cornerback and made the Pro Bowl four times, spent four seasons as a Titans assistant, the last two as defensive backs coach.

New head coach Gregg Williams, who was hired last week, had been the defensive coordinator for the Titans.

Vinklarek, 42, has been in coaching nearly 20 years. He spent last season as quality control and defensive assistant coach with Tennessee following two years as offensive line coach at Oklahoma State. Smith was Detroit's tight end coach for two years, and Aldridge was Middle Tennessee State's defensive coordinator.
