WESTERLY, R.I. (AP) _ A middle school principal had a fatal heart attack while being interviewed on a live cable television program.
William Barrs, 57, was answering a question Tuesday on Westerly Cable Television's ``Hot Off The Press'' show when he slumped from his chair. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
The program had just started when Barrs suffered the attack. The camera quickly cut away and the rest of the program was canceled, said Peter Jablonsky, Westerly Cable's general manager.
News of Barrs' death shocked his colleagues at Babcock Middle School. They said he was in good spirits and appeared to be in good health earlier in the day.
Barrs had mentioned ``how lucky he was to be alive'' and have a job he looked forward to each morning, said assistant principal Joy Sacco.
