CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ William Murrell rushed for 153 yards and scored three touchdowns to help Eastern Kentucky beat Austin Peay 24-10 Saturday and hand the Governors their tenth straight loss.
Austin Peay's Jacob Dickson tied the game 10-10 with a 1-yard run in the second quarter. But Murrell answered with a 3-yard touchdown with 6:15 left in the third to put the Colonels (6-4, 6-1 Ohio Valley Conference) ahead of Austin Peay (0-10, 0-7) for good.
Murrell, who had an 18-yard TD in the first, added a 48-yard touchdown run in the fourth for the final margin.
Austin Peay's other score came on a 42-yard field goal by David Young in the first.
Austin Peay had 218 yards total rusing, compared to Eastern Kentucky's 190. But the Colonels had 223 yards total passing yards, where Austin Peay only had 40.
