UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) _ Hege Riise scored in the 79th minute to give the Carolina Courage a 3-2 win over the New York Power on Wednesday night.

Birgit Prinz scored twice in the first 22 minutes to give the Courage (7-2-3) a two-goal margin, but the Power came back on goals by Wynne McIntosh and Emily Janss.

The loss was the fifth in a row for the Power (2-9-1).

Janss tied the game at 2-all in the 66th minute. But 13 minutes later, Riise streaked into the box undefended to give the Courage the game-winning goal, her fourth of the year.

The start of the match was delayed 36 minutes due to lightning in the area.
