LONDON (AP) _ Real Madrid, the most storied club in European soccer history, is in the European Champions Cup final for the first time in 17 years, and will meet Juventus, the current soccer leader on the continent.
Real Madrid earned a spot in the May 20 game at Amsterdam with a 0-0 tie Wednesday at defending champion Dortmund after winning the first-leg semifinal at home 2-0 two weeks ago.
Juventus, beaten in the final last season and winners in 1996, beat Monaco on a 6-4 aggregate despite losing 3-2 Wednesday in Monte Carlo.
Juventus, led by Brazilian star Ronaldo, will enter the final as the favorite.
Real Madrid last played in a Champions Cup final in 1981, losing 1-0 to Liverpool. Its last European title was the UEFA Cup in 1986.
Real Madrid, which has claimed the cup a record six times, hasn't won since 1966. It has contested 10 finals.
