Indians' Chuck Finley Leaves Game
Aug. 25, 2001
SEATTLE (AP) _ Cleveland pitcher Chuck Finley left after two innings in his start Saturday against the Seattle Mariners because of strained right rib cage.
Finley, 38, has been on the disabled list twice this season because of neck and shoulder spasms.
When he departed Saturday's game, there was no score. Finley gave up no hits.
Finley is 5-6 in his second season with the Indians.
The Indians lost right fielder Juan Gonzalez when he came out of the game in the fifth with a strained left hamstring. He missed six games from July 29-Aug. 4 with the injury.
