Extreme Networks: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Extreme Networks Inc. (EXTR) on Wednesday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $5.6 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 20 cents per share.
The maker of network infrastructure equipment posted revenue of $278.3 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $46.8 million, or 41 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $983.1 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Extreme Networks said it expects revenue in the range of $230 million to $240 million.
Extreme Networks shares have decreased 28 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined slightly in the last 12 months.
