Blackhawks Shut Out Oilers 3-0

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) _ Jocelyn Thibault made 29 saves for his NHL-leading seventh shutout, and Chicago scored three third-period goals in a 3-0 victory over Edmonton on Saturday night.
Thibault, who has 34 career shutouts, broke a tie with Toronto's Ed Belfour and Anaheim's Jean-Sebastien Giguere for the league shutout lead.
Steve Thomas, Tyler Arnason and Sergei Berezin scored for the Blackhawks, 2-6-2-0 in their last 10 games and 2-3-1-0 during a seven-game trip.
Thomas deflected in Nathan Dempsey's point shot 2:02 into the third period for his second goal of the season and 399th of his career. Berezin also assisted on the goal,
Arnason made it 2-0 at 9:22, jamming in Kyle Calder's rebound for his 15th goal. Calder extended his points streak to four games, during which he has two goals and three assists.
Berezin added an unassisted goal with 2:03 left, his 16th.
Edmonton's power play continued to struggle, going 0-for-7 including a 37-second two-man advantage late in the first period and a 1:29 two-man advantage midway through the second. The Oilers are 1-for-28 on the power play in their last six games.
Notes: Edmonton won its first two games against Chicago this season, 3-1 at home on Nov. 19 and 4-1 in Chicago on Nov. 3 . . . Chicago is 1-4-1-0 in Canada this season. ...
