Model Stella Tennant Marries
May. 22, 1999
OXNAM, Scotland (AP) _ Model Stella Tennant married her French photographer boyfriend on Saturday at a small, private wedding in Scotland.
Tennant and David Lasnet were married in an 18th century church near the Scotland-England border, in front of about 75 guests. No celebrities attended.
``It is not a show business event,'' the Rev. William Thompson said before the 50-minute service. ``She just wanted a small, quiet, country church wedding.''
Tennant, the granddaughter of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, wore a Helmut Lang knee-length white dress with a white cream top under a chiffon wrap. Lasnet said his vows in French.
After the ceremony, the wedding party returned to the Tennant's family home, a 1,500-acre sheep farm near the church, for the reception.
Tennant, 28, and her husband live in New York with their 9-month-old son, Marcel.
