NEW YORK (AP) _ Stocks that were moving substantially or trading heavily Friday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:
Cendant Corp., up 52 cents at $16.29.
The travel and real estate conglomerate said it is selling its travel services business for $4.3 billion cash.
General Motors Corp., up $2.35 at $29.79.
The automaker rose on reports that Renault SA and Nissan Motor Co. are interested in a purchasing a significant stake.
MasterCard Inc., $48, unchanged.
The European Commission charged the credit card company with fixing the fees retailers must pay for accepting MasterCard and Maestro branded cards
Apple Computer Inc., down $1.70 at $57.27.
The tech company said an internal investigation discovered irregularities in stock-option grants made between 1997 and 2001, including a grant, later canceled, to CEO Steve Jobs.
Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc. up $1.77 at $16.83.
Bank of America upgraded the drug developer to ``Buy'' from ``Neutral.''
Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc., up $4.68 at $36.71.
The drug maker announced a partnership with Johnson & Johnson for an experimental treatment for Hepatitis C.
