PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Tim Burton has picked the seat of government in Pittsburgh as the site of Superman's day job.
The director will film ``Superman Lives'' in the city this summer and convert the City-County Building into the offices of the Daily Planet, city officials said Tuesday.
Superman's alter ego, Clark Kent, works at the fictional newspaper with reporter Lois Lane, photographer Jimmy Olsen and editor Perry White.
A false floor will be built above the bottom of the three-story lobby, and a Daily Planet sign will be added outside. Business will go on as usual beneath the set, said Guy Costa, the city's general services director.
The Warner Bros. movie studio is paying for the set, and the city also will ask it to pay for some renovations to the building. Nicolas Cage is playing Superman.
