LEWISBURG, W.Va. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a second woman has been found in southern West Virginia and a suspect in that case and another killing last week is in custody on an unrelated charge.
Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan tells WOAY-TV the body found of 24-year-old Chastity Faye Hamm of White Sulphur Springs was found Saturday in a shallow grave in a wooded, mountainous area on Monongahela National Forest property in the Blue Bend area.
Authorities say the manner of the homicide is consistent with the killing of 32-year-old Shaela Lynn Abren of Webster Springs found last Thursday.
Details and the identity of the suspect were not immediately disclosed.
