NEW YORK (AP) _ Stocks that were moving substantially or trading heavily Thursday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:


Advanced Micro Devices Inc., down $3.22 at $21.01.

The second-largest chipmaker behind Intel Corp. reported third-quarter profit rose 77 percent, but that profit margins were lagging.

Pfizer Inc., up 42 cents at $27.68.

Third-quarter profit more than doubled from a year ago when results were hurt by an acquisition charge. The world's largest drugmaker also promised more cost cutting in years ahead.

Coca-Cola Co., up 95 cents at $44.91.

The soft drink maker reported quarterly profit rose 14 percent, aided by sales in Europe due to the World Cup soccer promotions and growth in emerging markets. The results surpassed Wall Street projections.


Apple Computer Inc., up $4.46 at $78.99.

The company reported stronger-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter results. Driving profit was sales of its iPod music players and Macintosh computers.

Logitech International SA, up $3.16 at $25.41.

The company reported second-quarter profit increased sharply, beating Wall Street projections. The technology company also raised full-year guidance.

Cosi Inc., down $1.24 at $4.37.

The restaurant chain reported third-quarter same-store sales dropped 4.2 percent. The company now expects a 5 cent per share loss for the period, and a wider loss for 2006. Wall Street had been expecting break-even results.
