AMES, Iowa (AP) _ Brigham Young ruined Iowa State's hopes of playing in a regional on its own floor.

Stacy Jensen fed Jennifer Leitner for the go-ahead basket with 1:22 left and Leitner hit another key shot in the final minute as the 11th-seeded Cougars beat third-seeded Iowa State 75-69 Monday night in the second round of the Midwest Regional.

The Cougars (24-8) rallied from a 13-point deficit to become only the third 11th seed to advance to the round of 16 since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1994. They'll face top-seeded Tennessee at Iowa State's Hilton Coliseum next Saturday.

BYU had never won an NCAA tournament game before this year.

Iowa State (24-9), which had a chance to qualify for the Final Four without leaving home, will have to be content to sit and watch.

The Cyclones went more than four minutes without scoring after building their lead and missed seven of nine free throws when they had a chance to add to their cushion.

Leitner led BYU with 17 points, Erin Thorn scored 16 and Jensen had 13 to go with seven assists. Melanie Pearson added 12 points and Danielle Cheesman scored 10.

Angie Welle led Iowa State with 22 points and 13 rebounds and Tracy Gahan scored 20, 15 in the second half.
