DALLAS (AP) _ Texas Instruments Inc. said Thursday it would replace some parts of its electronic Musical Shape & Sort toy that could break and be a choking hazard to children.

Further tests on the educational toy, which the company began selling in May, revealed that some pieces could break. Texas Instruments said there have been no injuries or customer complaints about the product.

''We want to stress that the likelihood of one of the objects separating into a small part is extremely low,'' said Elaine Kauffman, vice president and business manager for educational products at the company.

Texas Instruments said it will replace the parts for anyone who owns the toy.
