British Minister Arrives in Japan

TOKYO (AP) _ British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook arrived today in Tokyo to encourage Japanese investment in his country as well as more bilateral trade, the British Embassy said.
During his three-day visit, Cook will meet with Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi as well as Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura.
Cook and Komura were to sign a joint action agenda to promote bilateral cooperation in the next century, the embassy said in a statement
Cook will also be meeting with ``key Japanese investors'' in Britain and attend a news conference by British manufacturer Dyson to launch its new vacuum cleaner, the statement said.
Cook is making his first official visit to Japan.
