BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a 37-year-old man has died after being shot outside a bar in a popular bar and entertainment district in Buffalo.
Police say they responded around 1:30 a.m. Friday to a report of a man shot on Allen Street in the city's Allentown section. Officials say he was taken to Buffalo General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting occurred along a section of the street lined with popular bars, restaurants and shops. Marc Frisicaro, owner of one of the local bars, tells WIVB-TV he saw emergency crews working on the victim as he lay on the ground in front of a neighboring tavern.
Frisicaro says his bouncers and customers heard gunfire outside and locked themselves inside the business until police arrived on the scene.
No arrests have been reported.
