OGDEN, Utah (AP) _ Andy Smith scored 17 points and Jimmy DeGraffenried and Ryan Cuff had 15 and 14, respectively, as Weber State upended Northern Arizona 89-67 Friday night.

NAU (4-14 overall, 1-6 in the Big Sky Conference) never led in the contest. Brent Bowden paced the Lumberjacks with 22 points.

Weber (13-8, 4-3) led 20-8 at the 12:22 mark of the first half after Bryan Emery hit a 3-pointer. The Wildcats led 45-31 at halftime.

Bowden scored three straight baskets to start the second half for NAU. Teammate Kasey Frank added a three-point play and Michael McKair hit a foul shot to cut the Weber lead to 47-41 with 17:10 to play, but that was as close as NAU would come.

Leading 70-60 with 7:35 left, the Wildcats went on a 19-5 run the rest of the way, with reserve Justin Nielsen scoring seven points during that period.

NAU also got double figures from Frank and Charlie Thomas, with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

Tootsie Green for NAU and Wildcat Justyn Tebbs each had nine rebounds.
