ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Closing arguments are being made in the trial of a woman, her two adult sons and her boyfriend charged with killing the woman's estranged husband.
Attorneys for Colin and Alexander Rideout gave their rebuttals Monday to the prosecution's claims that the two men killed their 50-year-old father Craig in his suburban Rochester home last summer, then tried to cover up the crime by pouring a corrosive liquid on his face.
Lawyers for Laura Rideout and her boyfriend, Paul Tucci, made their statements Tuesday morning, with Monroe County prosecutors starting theirs in the afternoon.
All four defendants are charged with killing Craig Rideout in his Penfield home last July before dumping his body in a wooded area in the Finger Lakes region. Authorities say Laura and Craig Rideout were getting divorced at the time.
