VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) — Organizers of a film festival say they're bringing Burt Reynolds to south Georgia.

The Valdosta Daily Times reports local production company RKDS Entertainment and Media announced the actor will appear at its RKDS Film Festival on July 12. The studio's Roy Kirkland says Valdosta Mayor John Gale plans to declare the date Burt Reynolds Day and the actor will receive the key to the city.

The festival will also feature screenings of three of Reynolds' movies — "Smokey and the Bandit," ''The Last Movie Star" and the south Georgia-filmed "Gator."

Ticket prices to attend the three-day festival range from $10 to $150.
