CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ Coca-Cola Bottling Co. (COKE) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $3.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 42 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.12 per share.

The Coca-Cola bottler posted revenue of $1.23 billion in the period.

Coca-Cola Bottling shares have decreased 29 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $153.35, a decrease of 37 percent in the last 12 months.
